The Rise of the Warrior was a digital graphic novel, released to promote God of War: Ascension. More specific, it allowed players to gain access to the beta of God of War: Ascension, as well as experience points and exclusive items for the games’ online multiplayer, by answering questions and riddles hidden in the story.
The digital graphic novel is no longer available through official channels. However, Beyond Video Gaming created a back-up of the graphic novel’s panels, making the story available to all.
