Indiana Jones Timeline – Everything in Chronological Order

In 1981, Raiders of the Lost Ark became an instant hit. The legendary film spawned several sequels, a television show, various novels and comic books, and video games. More than forty years later, the series is still very much alive, with the recent release of the final film, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and the video game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. To help fans new and old understand the order of events, we have created this Indiana Jones timeline.

The five films and the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles form the basis of the Indiana Jones Timeline. The latest video game, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, is also considered a major addition to the existing timeline. However, for this Indiana Jones Timeline, we also include most of the books, comics and video games. Books and comics in foreign languages (such as the German books by Wolfgang Hohlbein and the French books by Richard Beugné) are not included in this timeline, as well as some minor or short stories.

The Indiana Jones Timeline puts all media in chronological order. However, sometimes it is unclear when a story takes places exactly. In that case, we made an educated guess as of where to place it in the timeline.
